Great small hotel with comfy rooms and beautiful views. The pool was refreshing. One note for foreign travelers: take cash as they only accept cash or a bank transfer for payment, which you can't do from a foreign bank. Not a big deal, but good to know in advance.
We stayed at Casa Qi on our short trip to the Oaxacan coast and it was perfect. A great relaxing space to hang out with amazing hospitality. We would either chill by the pool with an amazing ocean view, or take a quick stroll down to the beach. Make sure to ask Omar for recommendations on what to do, and ask him to help you arrange to go on a whale and dolphin tour. It was the highlight of our trip!
I don’t understand how this place has any negative reviews. We loved our stay here. Our room was comfortable, clean, had AC, and breathtaking ocean views. Complaints about the pool/grounds not being clean- there is literally staff working 24/7 to keep the place clean, but there is a thing called wind, and this hotel is up on a hill surrounded by flowering trees. So yes, some flowers and leaves do blow into the pool. And they skim the surface of the water frequently, but you’re in nature. It is a bit of an uphill trek to get here, but locationwise, this hotel is great, as you’re halfway between Mazunte and San Augustinillo beaches. They serve coffee/breakfast at the hotel, and have very attentive staff that made sure we were taken care of. They also organized airport transport. 10/10 would stay again
My partner and I have stayed here 5 times. We keep coming back because we love it. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfy, the views of the ocean are amazing, and it’s quiet at night. The staff are very friendly, professional, and courteous. It’s easy to book a room, and the staff are very responsive to questions and give good recommendations. The air conditioning works great. The swimming pool is an excellent bonus. We love to use the pool at night under the stars after returning from a day at the beach. Casa Qi is located at a good halfway point between Mazunte and San Agustinillo. We prefer to walk to the beach. It is located on a hill, so walking back up is a good workout, but we enjoy the exercise. They offer light breakfast options in the morning and access to snacks and beverages by the pool. We look forward to coming back soon in the future for our sixth stay.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Oaxaca and Omar the owner is a gentleman and simply put a great person. If this place is available I strongly recommend you stay....the staff are amazing and the view is spectacular. Home away from home.
Small and cute hotel with really friendly staff. Breakfast is not included but it's not expensive and tastes good. It looks quite new and although not super quality stuff it is good enough and nicely decorated. The room is spacious and has air conditioning as well as a fan. Since it is located a bit up the hill it is a few minutes walk from the beach and the town but this also makes it very quiet, with a nice breeze at night. And the views are good. The swimming pool area is also nice.
My partner and I stayed 3 nights at Casa Qi and absolutely loved it. Rooms are clean, well insulated and quiet and have incredible ocean views. We especially liked the ceiling to floor glass doors and full coverage window shades for morning sleeping. Sunrise views are epic. Omar & his staff provide 5 star service 24/7- the common areas and pool are spotlessly clean and you can relax while also feeling attended to. For those complaining about the "walk up hill"- (It takes 3 min and is totally reasonable) You cant have a world class ocean view and peace and quiet at sea level.
